Archiving and Preservation Policy
The Transactions on Intelligent Computing and Emerging Technologies (TICET) is dedicated to the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of its scholarly publications. Using established archiving frameworks and distributed preservation networks, the journal ensures that research remains permanently accessible to global academic communities.
Digital Preservation
TICET employs robust preservation strategies designed to protect scholarly content and prevent data loss. The journal maintains secure, redundant backups of:
- Full-text article files (PDF, HTML, supplementary content)
- Metadata and indexing records
- Editorial and peer-review documentation
These measures ensure continuity of access even during system failures or technological transitions.
PKP Preservation Network (PN)
TICET participates in, or intends to participate in, the PKP Preservation Network, a globally distributed archiving system that supports journals using OJS. Through PKP PN, the journal benefits from:
- Long-term preservation of digital content
- Multiple redundant storage locations worldwide
- Guaranteed open and permanent access to archived materials
LOCKSS / CLOCKSS
The journal supports the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS systems, enabling global libraries to maintain long-term archives of TICET content. These decentralized preservation networks ensure:
- Secure and verifiable long-term storage
- Restoration of content if the original source becomes unavailable
Self-Archiving by Authors
TICET encourages authors to archive their research in reputable scholarly platforms, including:
- Institutional repositories
- Subject-focused archives
- Personal or academic websites
Authors may deposit:
- Pre-print version (before peer review)
- Post-print version (after peer review)
- Final published PDF
Proper citation and acknowledgment of the journal are required when distributing archived versions.
Indexing and Database Backups
To ensure maximum visibility, TICET preserves and distributes article data across indexing services and scholarly databases once publication requirements are met. These backups support long-term discoverability across research networks.
Permanent Availability
TICET ensures permanent open-access availability of all published content:
- Published articles remain online indefinitely
- No article is removed after publication
- Corrections and retractions are always transparently recorded without replacing the original version
TICET remains committed to sustainable, internationally compliant digital preservation practices that safeguard scholarly knowledge for future generations.
